One of the most exciting projects under construction right now in Toronto is 1 Spadina Crescent – the new home of the [John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, & Design](https://www.daniels.utoronto.ca/) at the University of Toronto. (This must be one of the longest faculty names in existence.)

I am excited to see the existing 19th century structure come back to life by way of a new addition; especially given [its ceremonial position](https://www.google.ca/maps/place/1+Spadina+Crescent,+Toronto,+ON+M5S/@43.6444773,-79.401867,1892a,20y,41.17t/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x882b34c064dc9abd:0xd99aa195a76b9804!8m2!3d43.6596724!4d-79.400621) within the city. And I am excited – as an alumnus – to see the faculty growing.

On Monday, an event was held at the building to honor the donors and offer a sneak peek of the building. I wasn’t able to attend (as much as I wanted to), so I figured the next best thing I could do would be to write a blog post about it.

So here’s the official [news release](http://daniels.utoronto.ca/news/2016-11-07/torontos-architecture-design-development-and-business-community-comes-together) and here are [some photos](http://urbantoronto.ca/news/2016/11/uoft-daniels-faculty-re-introduces-toronto-spadina-crescent) from Urban Toronto.
